On the third day of the Dr. Abbey Akinoshun Foundation’s (DAAF) 10th Anniversary Celebration, July 14th, the team turned its focus to education, development, and heartfelt gratitude. The day featured visits to Cheshire Primary and Secondary Schools as well as NW5 Baptist Primary School, the alma mater of the foundation’s founder, Dr. Abbey Akinoshun.
The day began with a visit to Cheshire Primary and Secondary School, where DAAF continued Phase Two of its renovation project at the secondary school. One of the major highlights was the commissioning of newly constructed wheelchair ramps at Cheshire Primary School, part of the Foundation’s efforts to make education accessible to all, especially children living with disabilities.
Next, the team visited N5 Baptist Primary School, the founder’s alma mater, where Dr. Abbey Akinoshun was warmly welcomed with songs, dancing, and recognition for his contributions to the community. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the commissioning of another newly renovated classroom block. During the short program that followed, the hosts expressed gratitude and presented a list of additional infrastructural needs, which Dr. Abbey pledged to support.

Both schools hosted brief but heartfelt ceremonies where administrators gave speeches highlighting the impact of DAAF’s work and their hopes for continued collaboration. Dr. Abbey also addressed the students, encouraging them to stay committed to their education and believe in the power of giving back.
