Oluyole Cheshire Special Basic School, Sango: Making Learning Accessible

No child should struggle to enter their classroom, especially children with physical disabilities. That’s why on June 16, 2025, DAAF made accessibility the priority at Oluyole Cheshire Special Basic School in Sango.

For our anniversary project, we constructed wheelchair ramps to make it easier for students to move between classes. Before now, some pupils had to rely on others to help them navigate steps, making school a daily challenge.

Now, with the ramps in place, students can access their classrooms more independently. It’s a small change that makes a big difference in their daily lives. We’re proud to stand with this school and support inclusive education, and we appreciate everyone who has made this possible.
